Inhye

Hi Everyone!!!! Nice to meet U Guys.. !!
It is so pleased to meet you. Let me introduce myself. My name is Kim In Hye who is studying the international liberal studies in waseda. I am freshman of the SILS but I am 21 year old. Actually, last year, I was planning to go study abroad in U.S but in july, I decided to study in this Waseda University. Well I came here in March,24..Everything is new and interesting in here..!Actually living in this metropolitan city is really interesting even though I lived in Seoul 20 years.
For me, it is so nice to meet the Korea University student because this is the school where my father studied the French Literature for 4 years. As you already see my name, I am Korean who is studying in this waseda university..
My hobby is playing the Jazz Keyboard. I love to listen all of the smooth Jazz music sound so I used to go the Sibuya Jazz Club.
Studying in this waseda and Tokyo life is so fun..As a foreign student of waseda, I think that there are many similar things between Korea University and Waseda University such as university automosphere, the symbols, and student style.
Also, I think that it is good opportunity to meet Korean Student through the TV conference session. I hope that this TV conference session will provide a great communication forum between waseda and korea University for deeply understanding each others culture. I would like to form many bones and friendship not only in Japan but also this Korea University.
I cant wait to see ya guys! Hope U guys meet soon !

For me, now is the time to look for my job, so I’m little bit busy. Anyway, in this summer, if I get enough money, I want to go to Korea to meet my friends.
To Students in Korea Side: Nice to meet you!!! I’m really looking forward to meeting you and talking a lot about some topics. I believe these intercultural communications make a lot of new things and also stimulate me and you.

Masayo

3rd year, School of Education

Hi, I am Masayo. I am a junior student in Waseda Univ. I am really happy to have opportunities to take part in the TV conference with you all. I am interested in foreign cultures and love to travel abroad. In this spring I went to Korea for the first time. My traveling was only two days but it was wonderful. People were so kind and the food was really nice. Also, I like Korean movies very much. I lived in Philippine for about two years when I was a child, like four or five years old, but I was too young to learn English well. I would like to improve my English skills so I will do my best in the meeting. I am looking forward to seeing you all on TV soon!! Thank you.

Naoki

2nd year, School of Education, Interdisciplinary Studies

Hello!I am Naoki. I traveled to Seoul in the end of this February. That was for the first time for me to go to Seoul. I really enjoyed it! Then, one of my Korean friends, whom I got to know last year through a chatting program called CCDL, showed us around Seoul. I really appreciate it. This experience made me sure that I really like Korea. Now I want to Know more about Korean people, culture, history and so on. So, these days I have started learning Korean language^_^
Maybe, my English is not so good. But, I am really interested in discussing many kinds of topics and sharing various ideas with you. I am looking forward to seeing you soon!

Emi

2nd year, Economics Major, School of Political Science and Economics

Hello, nice to meet you. My name is Emi Horiguchi. I was born in Hiroshima, and when I was 4 years old, I went to New York. After living there for about 3 and half years, I came back to Japan. I like to travel, and of course I ’ve been to Korea too. I went with my friends. Since it wasn’t a guided tour, we had to look through many guidebooks and maps beforehand, but we could visit wherever we wanted to, so we enjoyed the trip very much. Here is an interesting episode. We were looking for a local restaurant but we couldn ’t find it easily. Well, actually we got lost. We couldn’t speak Korean at all, so we asked a lady the way to the restaurant in English. She was kind enough to show us the way, and we finally reached a delicious meal. I realized that although we can ’t speak each other’s mother tongue, we can communicate with each other by using English as a common language. Let ’s have fun discussing through the TV! I’m still poor at English but I’ll do my best to learn more.

Mayu

4th year, Psychology Major, School of Letters, Arts and Sciences

I was born and grew up in country side in Japan. I'm interesed in communicating with people from different backgrounds, through which I would like to have various perspectives and values. I once went to Korea for sightseeing with Miona about a year ago for 4 days, and surpried that many Korean people who I met spoke Japanese very well.

I was taking TV-conferencing class with Jaran and Kyungeun last year^^ and we've discussed various kinds of topics; seniority, beauty concepts(I got surprised to find out many Korean are willing to take cosmetic surgeries while Japanese don't), textbook problem, yasukuni probrem, relations(i found it interesting that Korean couples are having many evens like 100days anniversary, rose day, yellow day etc, while Japanese are lazy or feel shy to have those haha). I'm very looking forward to meeting you all. I've been doing job hunting, but i'm thinking of going graduate school of Japanese Language Education Study. If any of you are interested in Japanese, I'll be very happy to help you. Hope to see you soon^^
