Jaran

Hello, my name is Jaran Shin.
(My first name Jaran means claret orchid by the meaning of Chinese character.)
I am a junior at Korea University and I major in both Classical Chinese and English language & literature.

It is a great opportunity to have this TV-conference session with you all. When I attended Global English I & II with Mayu from Waseda University, I had a great time with my classmates from Japan and Korea. Through that course, I was able to learn more about both countries. It made me correct whatever wrong ideas that I had of Japanese cultural and social issues. To minimize such misunderstandings and to enhance communication, Mayu and I agreed to have this session. Through the upcoming sessions, I hope we can increase our understanding of global communities including both countries. I’m sure that we will understand each other through active and fun talks and improve our friendship.
